Professor Ittner is a recognized expert in the field of businesses modeling and data mining. He is an enterprise founder and he used to be a member of managing committee for a long time, later in the supervisory board of prudsys AG - innovative software company, which became the German market leader in the sphere of real-time analytics within last years.

Professor Ittner studied computer science with the emphasis on artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining at the technical universities of Leipzig and Chemnitz. In 1995 he got the award at the Chemnitz University of Technology. From 1995 till 1998 he worked on his Ph-D as a research student with a scholarship of Saxony.
He published numerous articles concerning data mining and gave talks already during his participation in international conferences in Europe and the USA. In 1999 he defended his Ph-D with “magna cum laude”.

He is a co-finder as well as patent owner of several data mining technologies and methods. In 2000 as the CEO of prudsys AG he founded together with university of Chemnitz an annual data-mining-cup and data-mining-days - the world-wide largest students' competition in the field of data mining.
Apart from his business activity at prudsys AG as a free strategy advisor professor Ittner holds the position of a teacher at the university in Chemnitz. In September 2007 Mr. Ittner was appointed as the professor for computer sciences/distributed information systems at the university of applied sciences in Mittweida.
As a popular data mining expert and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) he advises certain enterprises with strategic projects, in particular with the optimization of business processes by means of data mining and works closely with them in joined R&D projects. |
